Belinda Vemba, Advocacy COORDINATOR
Passionate about the human race, Belinda Vemba, is from Angola and arrived in America in 2021. Starting as a volunteer interpreter at Quality Inn where she resided for about 9 months, she became driven to make a difference in the lives of new Mainers like herself who needed a voice to speak for them.
This led her to positions that devoted herself to advocacy and human rights; she is currently the board member for two non-profits, Greater Portland Family Promise, and Maine Equal Justice as well as is a part of the Maine Maternal Task Force.
She loves art, and is learning how to sew and paint. When you think of Belinda, you think of a mom of three, a great friend, and a fearless leader.
