belviga mpolo, Women Lead Case Manager

 

Belviga hails from the country of Congo Brazzaville in Central Africa and has been residing in Maine for over five years. While adapting to the American culture posed initial challenges, she has grown to appreciate the safety and security of this state. Fluent in English, French, Lingala, and Kituba, Belviga has volunteered at General Assistance and a shelter single and families for a year, providing essential aid to her community.

Her overarching goal is to empower and support fellow immigrants, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and breaking down barriers that impede their progress. Belviga’s fervor for aiding and educating those in need of assistance in understanding American culture and diversity steered her to a position at IWC, leveraging her associate degree in Human Services.

In her leisure time, she enjoys activities such as shopping, spending quality time with loved ones, exploring nature, baking delectable treats, and indulging in the joy of music.
