DEEQA MOHAMED, Administrative assistant

 Deeqa Mohamed was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota but raised in Portland, Maine. She graduated from University of Southern Maine with a health science degree. Deeqa is a first generation American of proud immigrant parents who have come to seek refuge and explore opportunities from Somalia. Growing up, she had watched her parents struggle to find resources and since English was not their first language they had a difficult time managing. She is grateful to be working for us and glad that there are now much more resources put into place so that many other immigrants will find it easier to navigate in an unfamiliar environment. 

Deeqa enjoys nature very much and likes to read as well as watch movies outside of work. One of her favorite series she loves to binge watch is The Twilight Saga. She also loves the company of her 3 year old cat.
