Santiago Tijerina is the Impact Producer for the Greater Portland Immigrant Welcome Center (IWC). He holds a strong sense of purpose for storytelling that seeks to center New Mainers. He is currently producing IWC's staple podcast series, "Welcoming Voices", and several other documentaries including the feature, "Courts of Belonging".

While at IWC, he has forged key partnerships with Dirigo Union, Kennedy Park, Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, Portland Gaelic Athletic Association, Portland Hearts of Pine S.C., and The Children's Initiative, all part of his stalwart approach to sports youth development with an emphasis on community building and engagement.

Tijerina attended the University of Maine Honors College in Orono, Maine, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and then earned a G.C. in Short Film from the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland.
