Citizenship Day 2020
Citizenship Day 2020 - September 17
Greetings IWC Community,
I hope my message finds you well. I’m taking this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Ekhlas Ahmed and I have recently joined the IWC Civic Engagement team.
It’s important that we continue working together to ensure that every eligible voter is registered and going to cast their vote in this November election. Your vote matters today more than ever!! If you need help at any moment please don’t hesitate to reach out to us with the contact info provided below.
As part of our effort in celebrating America and its democracy, we are observing Citizenship Day 2020 on September 17. We will be conducting a Zoom conference with panelists from our diverse Naturalized Citizens, some of whom are local elected officials. The panel discussion will be from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. Join the conference with this link: https://masthead.zoom.us/j/91714802596.
After the conference, we will be doing phone banking from 1:00pm to 2:00pm to encourage and assist all eligible voters to register and request absentee ballots if they haven’t done so already. We would love it if you could join and volunteer for the phone banking to help us reach as many people as possible. If you would like to become a volunteer, a training will be provided.
We hope to see you on the 17th!
Best,
Ekhals
