“Biden announced a shift in America's border policy, with an executive order that could see thousands of migrants deported instead of staying in the U.S. while their asylum claims are considered. Imposing severe restrictions on migrants seeking asylum at the southern border is unacceptable. The decision by Biden to prosecute migrants and asylum seekers with criminal charges in the U.S. Federal Court is not only inhumane, it shows complete contempt and disregard for the human rights of people who chose to flee from persecution and violence and search for safety.”
