Assist newcomers in improving their language skills, fostering effective communication, and promoting cultural exchange.

Classroom Assistants

Assist iEnglish learners in understanding academic language, content, instructions, and expectations, under the direction of an ESL teacher.

Mentorship

Provide valuable support to immigrants. Share your cultural knowledge and experiences to help immigrants navigate and integrate into the local community.

Community Outreach

Be an ambassador for the Greater Portland Immigrant Welcome Center by participating in outreach events and educational workshops.
